[ 8 Pubs 1997 ] [ 9 Pubs 1998 ] [ 10 Pubs 1999 ] [ 11 Pubs 2000 ] [ 12 Pubs 2001 ]

Date - 25th July 1998
Theme -
"The Great Escape".
We chose 9 main characters from the film for the 9 pubs.
Ausweisse invite which 'permitted' participation in this years
event. 9 lucky participants were also cast as a relevant character from the film.
Highlights
An incredible turn out of 65+. A true Owen goal to blow
away the recent Beckham/Argie World Cup hangover.
There was a good showing from all quarters and many newcomers. Ex Brighton 'Nutley' boys
and N block girls appeared. Even an Enfield Elder made the long trip down.

The Route
Same successful route as last year. The extra pub was the aptly titled
Escape Bar on Marine Parade.
